San Juan and Seattle Charters

The following itineraries are typical for San Juan Islands

and Seattle Charters

5-day San Juan Charter:  Anacortes to Anacortes

Day 1: Leave Anacortes by noon.  Travel among the San Juan Islands and reach your anchorage at Echo Bay by the afternoon.  Take the opportunity to observe wildlife, kayak among the islands surrounding the bay, or drop a crab pot hoping to catch dinner or breakfast.

Day 2:  Echo Bay to Reid Harbor, Stuart Island.  Pull up the anchor after a leisurely breakfast and perhaps an early morning paddle, and head to Reid Harbor.  Walk to the lighthouse and look for whales in Haro Strait off of Turn Point.  Explore the many vistas offered by this rocky island by foot, kayak, or dinghy. Do some crabbing or catch fish off the stern of the Gyrfalcon.  Look for river otters, seals, and sea birds among the islands and inlets.

Day 3: Cruise southward to Friday Harbor, perhaps stopping at Jones Island to hike the perimeter trail with beautiful views at each step, and learn about the history of controlled fires in preserving the grassland areas known as balds where Garry Oaks survive.  Continue your voyage to Friday Harbor, anchoring in a quiet harbor within a dinghy ride of the small town where you can explore the docks, the museums, and local shopping.

Day 4: Head north around Lopez Island and anchor at Spencer Spit, a fantastic location for exploring the sandy beach, walking to town, or kayaking to nearby harbors.  As always, there are opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing.

Day 5: Return to Anacortes passing and potentially stopping at another beautiful marine park along the way.  We will have you back on the dock by XX in the afternoon.
